Christmas Recap Part 2 in Photos

Hello world!  It’s Dustin! Here’s my brief recap of Christmas at my mom’s house.

We spent time with my side of the family two days after Christmas while we were still in Houston.

We had a nice, relaxing time with lots of good food.  It was also great because I got to see my nieces and nephews.  Since we live three hours away, it doesn’t get to happen very often, so I enjoy it when it does.  The picture above is with my niece Lexi.

Here are some cute pictures of my other niece, Michaela.  She is such a cutie with a huge personality!

Below are the girls playing with a new game Michaela got.  The picture on the right is with my nephew Jackson.  He is such a well-mannered little gentleman! Tracy and I joke that these pictures foreshadow what our own children will look like.  A little mix of everything.—blonde, brunette, and red heads.

Here are the kids listening to Lexi rock out on here new electric guitar…just like her uncle Dustin.  She is going to be a pro one day!  ;)

On a side note, Basil and Nutmeg say, “Happy New Year!! Hope all your holiday wishes came true!”  Despite the look on their faces, they are so happy to be posing for the camera.

We hope you all enjoyed the recap of the holidays with our families.

The only pictures we have for you from New Year’s Eve are from the shopping trip we took to buy new outfits.  Can you guess how much we paid?!

Tracy’s dress was $3, her cardigan was $13, and she already had the leggings and shoes. My shirt was $4 and my”Life is Good” pants were $15.  We love bargain shopping for clothes.

We had planned to go out to celebrate the start of 2010, but last minute, decided to spend a quiet, romantic evening together.  We bought some movies from the clearance rack at Blockbusters and had some mimosas and hummus.  We were in bed by 11pm (How old are we?).

The next morning we went to grab something in the freezer and realized we forgot to take out the champagne after letting it “chill”.  This is what happened:

DSCN2812 Holy explosion!  I guess we’ll have to set a timer next time we do something like that.

B e sure to check back tomorrow as we will be sharing our goals for the coming year and also for the “Ten in 10” Challenge.

Tomorrow is also my Birthday!  =)   The big 26!

Goodnight, everyone!
